Every character must have a profession, and they may take on as many professions as their skill points allow. This allows the player to mix and match different professions in order to create a template.
Basic Professions[]
There are seven Basic Professions. You must choose one of these professions to start with:
- Artisan
- Brawler
- Entertainer
- Marksman
- Medic
- Politician
- Scout
Note: When you first create your character on Restoration III, they will have the novice skill box in each of these professions.
Elite Professions[]
Mastering part of or all of the skill trees associated with these professions will open up Elite Professions. The Elite professions are as follows:

Secondary Professions[]
The player may also choose to learn a secondary profession. There are four Secondary Professions. These professions do NOT cost skill points, unlike basic and elite professions.
- Alliance Pilot
- Imperial Pilot
- Freelance Pilot
- Chronicler
