Wounds subtract, temporarily, from your maximum health score. Wounds can be removed by a doctor, at a medical center, or at a camp. Additionally, being inside of a hospital heals wounds, albeit very slowly.

You can take attribute damage without getting into a fight. Special moves and actions take a bite out of your attributes and some, like /tenddamage, will wound your character.
